Where Do You Deliver To?

  • We predominately service Sydney to the Central West of NSW and return. We also offer National air and road freight on-forwarding along with International Priority services.

What services do you provide?

  • We provide a vast suite of services including: Next Flight / Same Day Air Service, Direct Drive / Country Wide Hot Shots, Short Haul VIP services, Airport to Airport Same Day, International Priority, Across Town / Point to Point Regular, Express and After Hours services and Guaranteed Overnight to selected areas from our Premium service level product. Add to this our Central West Parcel Skid and Pallet / National Pallet service and National Road Off Peak service.

Do you handle white goods and furniture?

  • No, we can only handle boxed or packaged goods.

Can I send dangerous goods?

  • As a rule Orange Courier Service does not handle dangerous goods of any class.

Do you handle motorbikes?

  • Yes, the motorbike must be in a wooden crate and there must be forklift facilities at both sender and receiver locations to load and unload the bike.

How long will my package take to get there?

  • This depends on the service you select. Our customer service staff can give you various options depending on location to ensure your goods arrive when you require them to.

What size vehicles are in your fleet?

  • Our fleet ranges from tray back utes, 1 and 2 tonne vans right up to 2 tonne, 4 tonne, 8 tonne & 12 tonne taut liners.

Can you do one off deliveries?

  • Yes, you don’t need an account to use our services we accept all major credit cards including Amex.

Do you accept COD?

  • No, for security purposes we don’t allow our drivers to handle cash.

How do I get a quote or make a booking?

What information do you require for me to obtain a quote?

  • In most cases we require weights & dimensions for each item so please have these handy when requesting a quote.

I have regular work and would like to open an account?

How long have you guys been operating?

  • Our business was built from scratch and has been operating for over twenty years.

What is the best way to present my package for transport?

  • Goods need to be well packed in a solid cardboard box, container, and crate or securely fastened to a skid or pallet and fully and clearly labelled with contact details for both the sender and receiver. Internal packaging should contain bubble wrap, foam inserts and/or paper /cardboard fillers to eliminate possible movement during transportation.

What is cubic weight?

  • Cubic weight is the volume in cubic meters of each item. The formula for working out the volume of parcels is width (cm’s) x depth (cm’s) x height (cm’s) x 250 (250kg’s per cubic metre) for example; 30cm (wide) x 30cm (deep) x 30cm (high) = 0.30 x 0.30 x 0.30 = 0.027 x 250 = 6.75kg’s (cubic volume). Freight charges are generally calculated on the greater of the cubic volume or the dead weight (actual weight).

Do you charge a fuel levy?

  • Yes, we review and adjust our fuel levy monthly and all quotes given will include our fuel levy.

What is the difference between a skid and a pallet?

  • A pallet is usually 1.2m x 1.2m and 1.4m – 1.6m high. A skid is generally considered to be half the size of a pallet or smaller.

Do you exchange chep and loscam pallets?

  • No, all palletised freight should be on plain pallets.

Do you charge an account keeping fee or account minimums?

  • No, we don’t charge an account keeping fee and we don’t specify a minimum monthly account spend.

What happens if I’m not home to receive my delivery?

  • It is the policy of Orange Courier Service to obtain a legible signature for all goods consigned for delivery throughout our network. If you are not home our driver will leave a card (attempted delivery advice) advising you of the location closest to you where you are able to collect your goods.

Can I arrange a redelivery?

  • Yes, we are more than happy to redeliver consignments that have had an attempted delivery advice card left. Charges are associated with redeliveries so please contact our customer service staff to discuss this in more detail.
